Hello Community Members,

We’re excited to share that we are rolling out a refreshed and improved Freshworks Support Portal experience on December 1. The portal that you use to raise, track, and manage support requests with the Freshworks team is becoming intuitive, simpler, and more aligned with the latest Freshworks design system.
 

 

Your customer-facing portals built using Freshdesk or other Freshworks products will not change. Everything you’ve already configured will continue working exactly as it does today!

 

Why We’re Making These Changes

 

The Support Portal has grown significantly as our customer and product ecosystem evolved. To keep pace, we’re updating both the experience and the foundation it’s built on. This refresh will help us:

  • Deliver a modern, user-friendly experience for submitting requests, accessing information, and collaborating with Support.
  • Create visual and functional consistency across all Freshworks touchpoints; from our website to product interfaces.
  • Improve performance, accessibility, and overall navigation for a smoother experience.
  • Lay the groundwork for future enhancements like smarter search, AI-assisted tracking, and contextual help.

 

What’s Changing
 

  • Updated design and layout

A cleaner, more modern interface built using the latest Freshworks design system — improved contrast, clearer organization, and a more intuitive structure.

  • Faster navigation

The portal will load quicker, adapt beautifully across devices, and make it easier to switch between tickets, resources, and updates.

  •  Enhanced accessibility and performance

We’re aligning with accessibility best practices and optimizing for a smoother, more inclusive experience.

New portal looks great - clean and intuitive. Search is fast, but interestingly it doesn’t utilize the Freddy conversational module that was recently introduced.

“Product update banners should ideally be visible only to system admins, not all agents. When every agent sees these announcements before the admins have time to review or test them—especially in organizations that must meet strict accessibility requirements—it creates unnecessary confusion and compliance issues. Having an “admin-only announcements” option would make the rollout smoother, controlled, and far more aligned with how enterprise environments operate.”

The redesign looks cleaner…

BUT the white on blue text in the dark theme is WAAAY too stark. I physically cannot read the text without getting a headache so I’m - ironically - switching to the light theme so that it’s easier on my eyes.

Not great at all in this area I’m afraid.

We can’t chose the theme in our portal. Why ?
