Do I need to use an API to import ticket history?

HI Lesley, 


No its not needed. We have done this as well!


Just go to Admin> Scroll down until you see account settings> then from there click on Import Data From Zendesk> Then once there Enter your info, and obtain your back up file with your data from your Zendesk account. 


Then select below your info what you want to import!


You should be all set! Hope this helps!

No, you don't have to use the API. We've built a tool that can move your Zendesk data to Freshdesk. It transfers all vital data: tickets, contacts, groups, knowledge base, custom fields and more.
