Cannot hard delete contacts created by API more then 2 months.

When I tried to hard delete  contacts by API it
can take long time. For example, one of contact in deleting state more
then 2 months,

It's really impossible to work with Freshdesk.

My solution:

1. Get by API list of contacts which have stated "deleted"

2. Try to hard-deleted it again.

Just "Deleted Agents" are still here.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the message "Deleting"? Contact is being deleted for 2 hours.

Sorry for the delay.

But let me explain the reason behind the issue that you had faced.


The permanent deletion of a contact is completely based on similar queued deletions and thus takes time. There might be instances were it purges that contact immediately but the general time range would be from 2 days to a maximum of 1 week depending on the associated tickets,topics, etc and the current queue.

​Do write to if the contact is in ‘Deleting’ state even after 7 days, we would be able to raise this with our engineering team as an anomaly.
