How do I....?

HiMore than likely a learning curve for me here but i am looking to do a simple report for a resolving team statistics over the last month and then six months. My main thing is to setup many reports for the last calendar month that i use at the beginning of every month. I can see some filters etc that lets me set a specific start date to an end date but is there a way to make it so the report does this by itself for the 1st of every month to the last day of each month.  Thanks

I struggled with the existing instructions, hopefully these steps are clearer:By default, there are five asset states in Freshservice,In Use : The asset is currently being used by somebody in your organization. Missing : The asset isn’t being used, but cannot be used since it’s missing. In Transit : The asset has been ordered from a vendor or is being moved. In Stock : The asset is readily available for use. Retired : The asset is too old, or isn’t functional and has been retired. Add your custom asset state here for our team I used recycled/ destroyed.Follow the next steps:Click on Hardware Field (Parent Folder) Choose Edit  Click just right outside the “Asset State” field (when cursor changes from one pointer to four pointers) a new menu opens.

I’m trying to find a way to create custom fields in the location object.  We support a lot of locations, and the only solution we’ve found to track what systems are running at each location is using a 3rd party CRM as the FreshService tool doesn’t seem to allow this.  Is there a way to create custom fields in the location object, or is this on the roadmap anywhere?

Hello everyone,I recently faced a problem the speaker volume was completely reduced after my phone got wet. While browsing YouTube, I found an online tool that supposedly uses sound waves to help remove water or dust from the phone's speaker.After running the tool, it seems to have worked somewhat. It's called Fix My Speaker it's a web application, no need to install anything separately.I thought I'd share my experience here. Does anyone have experience working with such a tool before? Whenever I use the {{ticket.description}} placeholder in a Web Request node the node fails. The execution logs report the following: This only occurs if I am using the {{ticket.description}} placeholder. Has anyone else had an issue with this?Example JSON that fails.Additionally, when using {{ticket.description}} placeholder in the Powershell Orchestrator App Node, the value of {{ticket.description}} does not exist. Hello, We have made a really simple Agent Reply Template saying that when we choose to reply on a ticket, there will be automatically the text: Hallo {{ticket.requester.firstname}},BUT sometimes;when we hit Reply, it does starts with Hallo {{ticket.requester.firstname}},{{ticket.requester.lastname}}So, sometimes it adds the requesters Lastname.Anf that while it is jnot configured to appear  in the template.Anyone any idea?Lookin forward to hear from you.With kind Regards,Chris

Hi Team,Im just curious, why some our requestor sometimes encountering this kind of warning, “ your not allowed to access this page”, this is showing after successfully login.

On my dashboard I have a ticket widget that shows any open/pending tickets in groups that are set for auto-assign, but for some reason tickets end up in the group unassigned.  I’ve found that if assign the tickets to another group, update, then back to the original group, and update, they will auto-assign.  Is there an easier way to sort-of “trigger” the auto-assignment?  Again, I’m not sure way they end up being unassigned…Thanks!

I am currently facing an issue getting Meraki Webhooks to connect to an alert management profile that I have created. I imported a sample JSON alert from Meraki so that I could map alert fields, and I am using the “Endpoint URL” and “Auth Header” fields from FreshService in the “URL” and “Shared Secret” fields respectively in the Meraki Dashboard: Meraki Webhook Entry FieldsI have tried: setting the shared secret to “auth-key XXX” that you get from clicking Copy from Auth Header, copying the entire Header including “Authorization: auth-key XXX”, and finally removing “Authorization: auth-key” and just using the long string that comes after. All attempts to test the webhook with the above testing tool fail. Leaving the profile in place does not seem to generate alerts, which I already receive via

Hi all,We are a current user of freshdesk with a basic servicedesk setup for IT. We are wanting to migrate our current config and history across to freshservice.Is anyone aware of how to do this?

When I am creating Solution Articles, most of the time the text editor is nearly impossible to work with. The font will be fine for half or most of the article, and then the rest of it is completely different, even if I go in and edit the HTML directly. I have tried highlighting the entire article and making changes as well as highlighting individual paragraphs. Sometimes if there is bold and or italics in the paragraph, the formatting will stay fine right up to that, then forget it. We use the "Heading 2" and "Paragraph" for all of our articles with Verdana font, medium-sized, and black in color. Most of the time we also include images as they are mostly KB articles for employees. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to get a better quality text editor? Other than this issue, we love the product, it's just so frustrating as I am the one migrating almost all of our articles from our old system to Freshservice.Thanks!

Hi,I've tried editing the HTML for ticket templates but it never seems to keep all the styling.....For example in Visual Studio I created a very basic template:What I received in the email for a new ticket notifcation though was :In other tools like Spiceworks etc, copying basic html code from something like Visual Studio has worked flawlessly and the finished template is exactly what I designed.But the HTML in the Freshservice product just doesn't play ball....

On of the key audit points for us is the JML (Joiner Mover Leaver) process, we need to show that we are secure (e.g. removing AD access on the day of leaving) and we are managing costly licenses effectively.The Onboarding module is working well, but in order to Offboard people I have had to use clever tricks in Service Catalog items and a number of Automated workflows - it works but as a Global company it is not the slickest of processes. Currently, the least said about the Movers process the better.How are other people managing and @Freshworks, is there an Offboarding module in the near future?Steve - IT Service Manager

If I want to update a Service Request item. with the following@" { "priority" : 1, "status" : 2 } "@But when I run my code I get this....Invoke-RestMethod : {"description":"Validation failed","errors":[{"field":"type","message":"It should be one of these values: 'Incident'","code":"invalid_value"}]} At I don't want to update the "type" field because it is already set to "type": "Service Request", if I change this to "type": "Incident",It works but lose all information on the Item.If I add "type": "Service Request" to the code it does not work.... Hi - I'm hoping to clear up some questions we had since running against limits for inventory management.1)  How long do items stay in the trash for?  We found some items there and restored them, but would hate to lose any data should the incident happen again.2)  Our current process is to move items to a "retired" status when discarding them.  However, through support, we found that this number still counts toward our "Managed" devices since it still appears in the "Discovered Probe" or "Discovered Agent" count.  Again, we don't want to discard data - old workstations or servers could have associated events that we wan
