Hello, Been testing the new Expression Builder block and found some ups and some downs. I created this expression using Liquid and the test gives me OK on it but I can’t save it. We have certain processes that require multiple departments to complete different tasks related to the same process. Ideally, we would like to fill out one service request that results in separate tickets assigned to different groups.  We have tried the "additional items" option to create a bundle request, but on the child ticket, you can't see all of the fields of information that was inputted into the parent ticket, and we don't won't to define the same fields for the child request, because then you have to fill out the same information multiple times when filling in the service request.   Even if we wanted the owner of the child ticket to look at the details in the parent ticket, it isn’t always possible because sometimes they don’t have access to the group the parent ticket is assigned to. 

I am looking for a way to allow a person’s supervisor, manager, director etc., access to view their subordinates tickets. For Example I report up to a supervisor, my supervisor reports to a manager, who reports to a director.  We want to allow my supervisor, manager, and director access to see any tickets I have submitted.  For example, if I send an email to my director with a URL link to a ticket I submitted, they should be able to open and view the ticket. I did see an option in the requester record to check “Can see all tickets from this department”.  That works for requesters that are in the same department but most of our managers and directors are in a different department.  Is there a way for a requester to view tickets submitted by a requester in another department?

Hi, New in the FRESH SERVICES world, i have a few questions to ask the community, about Automation in Active Directory On Premise integration.The orchestration server is well functionnal, and first tests (for example) to force a password reset is OK.In our active directory, user (samaccountname) is built with the first letter of the lastname + firstname.(For Jean DUPONT, SamAccountName is jdupont).My Question is : How to create user, or a reset password’ user based on this approach ?More generally, does it exist a knowledge base with automator example on Active Directory OnPremise ?Thanks in advance for your help guys :)Kevin DEVOS.

We purchased the freshservice starter plan towards the end of April upon first impressions based on the ease of use of the service. We’re a Microsoft 365 company and we opted to use our domain email account as the primary support email with a transport rule set to forward ticket requests to the specified freshservice email id. We noticed that email notifications and responses to tickets stopped being sent to internal requesters or agents. We added the freshservice spf and cname records within our domain registrar, whitelisted ips, run message trace to identify backlog, and still nothing changed. Support thus far has not been responsive to requests in either a timely or technically adequate manner, and lately abrasive when assisting. No logs have been provided by support to help with troubleshooting. It’s been a disappointing experience and as a new customer, we’re hoping someone will adequately assist us in resolving this issue.

We are trying to create a ticket automator to automatically assign a service request to a group.  Service request gets created, but it doesn’t seem to be applying the rule and assigning the ticket.

I've been somewhat frustrated that the AD integration does not "deprovision" requesters when they are removed from AD. I was about to start purging them manually and it occurred to me that some platforms (ex Salesforce) require that account to remain for audit trail purposes and allow you to deactivate and hide the record from view.What is everyone's practice for dealing with former employee requesters? Do you purge them or something else?What is the official Freshservice position on this? Will removing requesters have an adverse affect on any product functionality?

Basically title, I can get SSO working with pre-existing freshworks users however it doesn’t work with users that only exist in Azure AD (“-insert user- cannot be logged in as this user is not part of this organization”). So am I missing something or do you need to add/import users even if they’re going to use their AD login ?

Hello Team,May I know if possible to disable / hide the “ All service Items”  option in the catalog? my requestors are really overwhelmed with all the service items. I want them to see them per category. Maybe if there is option not to select/ direct to  “all service items” once user visited the service catalog.     

I am new to Freshservice and still trying to get around the configuration. I’ve been looking at some of the third party integrations (e.g. AzureAD Provisioning) however they require an API key.If I follow the instructions to get my API key - select my Profile Picture (top right) > Profile Settings on the right hand side there’s a heading Your API Key however underneath there’s a message that says:Your API key is disabled. Please contact your admin to enable it.I am the organisation admin for our account so I assume I have the correct priveleges, and I have been searching the documentation and the internet and cannot for the life of me find any information on how to enable it, other than ‘speak to your admin’…If someone would please shed some light onto this that would be amazing as it’s increasinly frustrating that I cannot locate any information - and starting to tarnish my opinion of what ap

Is there a solution to this problem? Have created a support-ticket too for this. Problem:when an agent comments on an existing ticket and the requester has configured an “out-of-office” message. This message creates a new ticket. - creates a huge inconvenience, because when closed, the customer is confused as the issue is still “open” and when they reply, this unnecessary new-ticket is re-opened!! causing more confusion.Expected behaviour: The reply be sent in the same existing ticket and not a new one.

I'm in the process of setting up our Freshservice instance but have run into an issue with email going from Freshservice to our end users. When an email from Freshservice is received in Outlook it has two errors under the address details:"We could not verify the identity of the sender""The actual sender of this message is different than the normal sender"I've setup the SPF record correctly and can see from the message header that the SPF check has passed.I've also setup a rule in exchange online which sets the emails to bypass the spam filter with a report being sent to myself every time the rule is triggered so I can see this is also working as it should, I can also see in the message header that the SCL is set to -1.I've also tried adding the address to our safe sender list but this made no difference either.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are currently migrating customers from legacy to the new-gen project management. I’ve been having issues attempting to get SAML working with Azure.  I’ve got past initial problems with SAML assertions and responses and am now getting “<test user> an error cannot be logged in as this user is not part of this organization”.  The user is present in Azure and the application is set to not require assignment.  It’s driving me nuts.  Any ideas, please?

 I am currently investigating the best approach for building a service desk system for multiple departments (e.g. IT, HR, Facilities etc). One requirement that we have that identified is that we want to have different configurations for each department (e.g. different email address and portals). Also we want to keep some of the content confidential (e.g. HR tickets should only be seen by the HR department).We are currently interested in finding out whether we can use MSP mode to do this, or whether a better approach would be to use different instances of FreshService, or whether there is another approach that we haven't come across yet. Does anybody have any views on the best way of setting up service desks for multiple departments in Freshservice?

I’m not the “super admin” within my Fresh Service instance but I have been granted some elevated permissions.  I’m want to access the “https://millimanhelpdesk.freshservice.com/api/v2/groups” api to pull a list of groups - primarily to match group ID to group name.  However, I’m currently getting an “access_denied” message.  What permissions do I need to ask for in order to access the groups api?   Thanks,Ryan
