I love using gifs instead of screenshots because it provides the user context to the steps they need to perform.  Is it possible to add GIFs to articles?

You can indeed embed an animated GIF in to a Solution Article.  Note: remember that screen recordings are often not saved in GIF format.  There are free online tools to convert, for example, mp4, to GIF

The below example, I promise, is an animated GIF 😁

You can drag and drop the image from your collection or, in my case...

...reference an external URL…

...and Tada!  Resize it to your desired size etc.

We 100% use gifs in our solution articles.  We use a free program called ScreenToGif that will record our screens, we save the gif (usually to desktop for speed), open it up then copy/paste into the solution article.  It’s awesome being able to show someone how to do something!
