Microsoft is going to deprecate the support for Basic Authentication on online exchange servers due to security protocols. Going forward, Microsoft will only support OAuth for Microsoft Office 356 servers. Click here to learn more.
As a result of this deprecation, the custom mail server settings under Freshdesk will require a re-authorization. Your current basic authentication settings will be migrated to the new OAuth-based Microsoft configuration.
This migration will happen before the 31st of March, 2021 for all accounts using Microsoft basic authentication. When you see a banner inside your helpdesk, we request you to re-authorize the configuration as soon as possible.
