Approval button in Email

Hi,

Is there a way we can have the approval button in the approval email that is sent out?

That way, the approver only needs to press a button and not have to go into the ticket or reply to the email. Just one click!

Have seen it in other tools, so be good to have this in hear for Service or Change Request approval.

Thanks

Sam

This would be a great addition

Until today, I thought the {{approval.url}} link did exactly this, but it appears to do the same thing as {{change.url}} ?

In which case, why is the resulting URL so complex?

+1 This would be a tremendous help! Saving the additional step for an approval to take place would be great.

We would love this as well!

An approve button would be great.  Using dynamic emails would be even greater!

Chiming in here as this is something I have been looking for as well. SharePoint does this (I believe using MS Power Automate) so it is something our users are coming to expect as a time saver.

I quickly checked the FreshService Connector in Power Automate, but it seems managing approvals is not yet supported. Even the FreshService API doesn't seem to support this yet.

Folks,

Thanks for the feedback. We will look into bringing dynamic emails, where users are able to approve/reject requests without having to navigate to a different screen. We'll add this to our backlog and update you when we prioritise this ask.

In the meantime, I'd recommend using the Freshservice mobile app, if you aren't already. A lot of our customers find the app really useful for actioning approval requests and, in general, for managing their work (The app can do a lot more than just approvals, if you are an agent in the Freshservice system).

It's available on both Android and iOS platforms.

Product @ Freshservice

Hi there,

Do we have any update on this? Is this going to be implemented anytime soon?

This is a standard feature of other systems, why can't FreshService have it too?

Using the App is not necessarily a solution as organisations may not want to use the app or may not be ready to roll it out yet. Rolling out a whole mobile app into your organisation's ecosystem just so that they can approve a change is a ridiculous option to offer as an alternative.

Kind Regards,

Hayden
