Freshservice Community Guidelines
At Freshservice, we’re on a mission to make your ITSM desk faster, smarter, and better. As we grow, we want to build a community of users to suggest improvements, test new features, report bugs, and help other members.
As we’re a public forum and have users from across the globe, we have a few guidelines in order to make everyone comfortable. We want our users to have great conversations, mutually benefit from each other, and of course have a great time.
These are a few simple things you can keep in mind while posting or commenting on the forum:
Introduce yourself - When posting for the first time, give a short bio about yourself so that others could know you better.
Be nice - Our community has people from different age, gender and backgrounds. So, we do not encourage the use of offensive language as it may hurt other members of the community. As moderators of the forum, we have reserve the right to remove posts/comments that contain spam, foul language, sensitive information and content that is not relevant to the discussion. Kindly be aware of what you’re posting and be nice to everyone.
Communicate effectively - Keep to simple language that would help everyone understand the need for the feature and how would it help them. Also, add enough context to your posts and replies as it will help other members understand your views.
Collaborate - Collaboration is the key to a strong community. So, don’t stop with posting feature requests. You can do more! Upvote features, which you think could be beneficial for you as well as others. Participate in relevant conversations and tell us more about why we need to bring in this feature, or how it can be improved.
It’s okay to ask for help - Nobody knows everything, and that’s okay. Ask a lot of questions when in doubt or if you’re stuck somewhere. Asking right questions at the right time is the best way to avoid bigger problems.
We expect you all to honor the guidelines as it is the key to building a stronger community.
