Fedex Tracking

Hello Freshdesk Community,

I am having issues trying to get Fedex Integrated or even send a canned response with a placeholder put into the link.

Does anybody have experience with this?

For example I put

https://www.fedex.com/apps/fedextrack/index.html?action=track&tracknumbers={{ticket.cf_return_tracking_number}}&locale=en_PT&cntry_code=pt_english

in a canned response and it outputs.

https://www.fedex.com/apps/fedextrack/index.html?action=track&tracknumbers=%7B%7Bticket.cf_return_tracking_number%7D%7D&locale=en_PT&cntry_code=pt_english

It will not put in the placeholder into the link and it will not work on the Fedex Website for obvious reasons.

I was also looking to get information on sending the tracking number to the Fedex website and pulling a shipping status if anybody has any information on that I would be exceptionally grateful.

Hi Travis, I solved this problem for us using Purolator by creating a ticket field for a tracking number.

After we update the number in the field,  we use a canned response with the link and the placeholder for the tracking number.

Like this:

https://www.purolator.com/en/ship-track/tracking-details.page?pin={{ticket.cf_purolator_tracking_id}}

Hope this helps with your issue as well!

Hello Travis,

Do you use the Insert link option in the canned response editor to create this link? If yes, can you please copy paste the link to the editor without using the Insert link option and see if that helps?

Cheers!
