Freshdesk API create reply sends out email to customer. How to avoid?

I asked this to support already but I'm starting it here too as I failed to find any answer out there. 


I programmed a Nodejs script to connect to our old support desk (GrooveHQ) read all tickets and conversations and push them (import) to Freshdesk through API. It all works well for my use but problem is that every imported reply also sends out copy to a customer. This makes it unusable and I can't seem to find a way to import tickets through API. I've disabled all notifications in Freshdesk but still.


Basically, sample curl command from docs (https://developers.freshdesk.com/api/#reply_ticket) sends out email to customer no matter what. Can't find a way around this.
