Removing due date

It seems you cannot remove a Due date from a bug/user story.
Is this intentionally?

    Hi Arno Rog,

    This is due to a limitation in our calendar component which will be resolved soon.
    as a temporary workaround, you can remove the due date in the Edit form of a work item
