Agreed!
Asana + Freshdesk integration would be incredibly helpful, and in fact the only reason we would choose Freshdesk as our helpdesk provider.
Agreed! I use Asana + Toggl for everything. I'd like to give my clients an easier portal through your service, but it just doesn'tfit into my workflow right now! I need their tickets to sync with my tasks -- notes/responses and everything.
Same here. Is integration with Asana in a roadmap?
Why not use zapier to transfer the data you need from Asana to Freshdesk and back. sorry but I don't know what you would like to do with the integration but there is a path.
Would be helpful for my company too.
With Zaiper I'm not sure if you can individual decide which tickets become Asana points, however that is what we need. (Basically a button on a ticket to turn it into an Asana task (e.g. bug tracking).
I would also like to see this integration.
The Asana integration would definitely add value to lot of Freshdesk users.
In the interim do use the Asana email bridge can help you convert Freshdesk tickets to Asana tasks.
https://blog.asana.com/2013/03/walking-the-email-bridge/
You can even convert a ticket to a discussion, if you forward it to teamname@mail.asana.com
https://asana.com/guide/help/organizations/team-pages
At the bottom of every Team’s Conversations page, there is an email address listed.
I would love an Asana integration as well. The email method mentioned above works fine, but if you want tickets to go to specific Asana projects, you need to know the unique email address for every project, which is a long list if you use Asana extensively.
Zapier is okay, but it can't be configured to send only some tickets from Freshdesk to Asana. It's all tickets or nothing.
Definitely! Add another vote for Asana/Freshdesk integration from us.
It would be great to plug the Asana task list access directly into the FreshDesk ticket. I don't know how others are doing thing, but our process is currently like this:
We have common task lists for many of the things we do. For example, when we build a client website, there are lists for all of the tasks that need to be completed. For example, the contract needs to be sent, signed, scanned, the design needs to be done, sent, approved, the development has to be done, the browsers all need to be checked, the SEO metadata has to be added, the contact forms need to be directed to the right email address, etc. There are 100+ tasks by the time we complete a site These lists are used over and over.
In Asana, I have a "project" called "#4310 Website Tasks" where the #9999 represents the matching FreshDesk ticket number for that website development. In FreshDesk, in the main ticket creation area, we have the info about who the client is and what we gathered in their client meeting to determine what they want and I add the link to the Asana Project there so that it's readily available to whomever is going to work that part of the site. Since we use LastPass, there is automatic login to the Asana site from there and the list opens.
It would just be nice to be able to integrate this directly into the ticket instead of having to go to another site to keep up with it. Each time we create a new ticket for a new website, we have to go over to Asana and create a new project from a template, etc. We have projects in Asana for adding and removing employees from different companies, for SEO monthly tasks, for building websites, etc. Having integration to these things directly would be a big time and effort saver - or just drastically improving on the built-in task lists would work for us as well.
And please - if it's going to be an integration, make it worthy of "being integrated"! :)
Do you think it you will integrate with Asana any time soon? @Priyobrato
Still interested by Asana integration with Freshdesk ! After 4 years of resquest, still not on your roadmap ?
I am interested in this as well
So we should move to ZenDesk?
Is there still anybody interested in this integration? CloudChoice.ca is a Canadian-based solutions partner of Freshdeska and we can build the desired integration according to your requirements.
Hey IntegrateCloud
Is the number of tickets per month an absolute total or the likely amount we'd want to push to Asana? For example we get around 2-300 tickets in total a month, but are looking to push about 10-20 to Asana
Hi all! Just wanted to share that Swedbyte has recently developed an Asana-Freshdesk integration that allows you to connect tickets to tasks or create tasks directly from Freshdesk and push updates from one system and into another. It is called Asana Connect and is available here at Freshworks Marketplace https://www.freshworks.com/apps/freshdesk/asana_connect
Hope this helps!
Also, since the app is relatively new, we would be happy to learn about your feedback and experience with the app. You can reach us at asana@swedbyte.com
Cheers,
Jenni
