we're using Freshdesk for our customer service and want to know whether an API connection to our CRM Tool Emarsys would work?

Apologies for the delay on this. Hope you are well. Regarding your concern, if you CRM application has API end points and supports API calls you should be able to trigger API calls. Also it is to be noted that the API calls can be made from the blossom and above plan in Freshdesk.
