On FreshDesk I want to verify a user for them. So I do NOT need to send them a verification email. Is this possible. I do not care if the users can login, I just want to open tickets for them. I need their emails verified but they always end up in SPAM so I have to phone them anyway. Whats the point of software if I have to phone them anyway?

Hi @MatthewT,

Greetings from Freshworks community!

You can set a password for the contact by accessing their contact in Freshdesk under contacts —this action will mark the contact as verified .

That said, if you're seeing tickets land in the spam folder, we recommend clicking on "Show Activities" in the ticket view to check whether the ticket was flagged as spam by:

  • An automation rule within Freshdesk, or

  • If the ticket was created by a deleted contact, which can also cause it to be spammed.

There's also a possibility that the contact’s spam score is high, triggering this behavior.

To help us investigate further, please send an email to support@freshdesk.com with the following details:

  • Requester email address

  • Timestamp of the ticket creation

  • Ticket ID that was marked as spam

We’ll be happy to look into this and assist you further.

Yes, you can verify a user on FreshDesk without sending a verification email. You can manually add and verify the user’s email through the admin panel under the "Customers" section. This allows you to open tickets for them without needing them to verify via email, bypassing the issue of emails going to spam.

Indeed, you can use FreshDesk to authenticate a user without sending them a verification email. The admin panel's "Customers" section allows you to manually add and validate the user's email address. via doing this, you can open tickets for them without requiring them to confirm via email, avoiding the problem of emails ending up in spam folders.
