I believe you are referring to the Landing pages custom domain verifixation part where it accepts only “app.websitedomain.com” and not “https://app.websitedomain.com/property=12345”. If you check on the article as well, we have confirmed that you can only connect your domain/subdomain which you can link with your actual website. so that whenever someone re-directs to the that particular URL the landing page that you have configured and linked would be displayed.

If you try adding something else, with special characters, it will throw errors like:

That is the expected behaviour. Hope this clarifies.
