Are there any widgets or steps on how i can make the status page visible when staff access the self service portal?

 

Ideally i would like to see fif this can be linked to the service catalog

You’re referring to the Status Page; you’re also referring to Service Catalog.

Those are FreshService key features, but you posted your inquiry in FreshDesk forum. Just double checking: Are you indeed referring to FreshService?

If so, in the Service Catalog you could create an Item with a link to the status page.

 

If that is not what you are expecting, would you mind elaborating your inquiry and confirm which product are you working with?

Yes i was referring to Freshservice, sorry if i posted this in the wrong place.

 

What we are after, within the self service page, is there any imbedded widgets that can display the status page. It would be good for users to see if there are any outages etc or if all services are operation when they try to raise a ticket rather than having to go to another URL for the status page

Hi, Yes i have already set up the status page, what we are after is having the ability to display this within the self service portal


I’m sure you found an answer in the past year, but I took the widget code and applied it to our self service portal page and that worked just fine.  I wish the widget was slightly better (why I’m here looking at posts in the first place), but it’s better than nothing.  Let me know if you need more info on how I got the widget onto the portal.

Yes, you can make the status page visible on the Freshservice self-service portal by embedding it using a widget. To do this, set up your status page via Admin > Channels > Status Page, then navigate to Admin > Portals > Self-Service Portal > Widgets, and add the Status Page widget by copying the embed code from the Status Page settings. For linking to the service catalog, create a service item in Admin > Service Management > Service Catalog, add a URL field with the status page link, and publish it to make it accessible to staff, ensuring they can view outages directly from the catalog.
