I have a customer with example.com as their domain. They have sites all over the country and use person@location.example.com as their email accounts.
It would be great if i added example.com or *.example.com to the company contact to associate emails from person@location1.example.com and person@location2.example.com
Please note this customer has 100s of locations around the country.
I would also find this very helpful, I thought i read somewhere this was implemented can you please provide an update?

You'd be able to create a company in Freshdesk and specify the domain name value in the domain names for the company field. When a new user reaches out to your helpdesk, he/she will be automatically linked to that company based on the domain name value.

Will this work with wildcard subdomains also, i.e. putting *.university.edu instead of adding library.university.edu, medicine.university.edu, law.university.edu etc. separately?

This will not work with some of our clients as the operate retail outlets and when they open a new outlet the add a new subdomain. They are adding multiple new retail stores every week.

+1@Aravind: thanks for the tip, though we have the same issue as Kieran - we don't know which subdomains our clients are using, so can't import them in bulk. It would be great if a wildcard / placeholder could be implemented. Should this be added as a new topic then, as this one is already marked as 'implemented'?
