Instead of the “...” option presented to requesters for a drop down field, allow for the option of a default value. This will help reduce the number of clicks if multiple values exist, but one is used significantly more than others.

Hello @alyssia.correa any news on where this one sits in the pipeline. We desperately need functionality for default selected values in drop down fields. This would save our users a ton of time. Tagging some others to get some additional votes to help move this along.

yes, In the beginning I was designing all drop downs thinking that the first item will be the default as well. Only to learn that the default is “...”

Please implement an (optional!) default option

Agree this would greatly help people steer people in forms and is a standard feature other competitors already have.

This seems like the barrier to implement would be minimal - it would also have a huge impact on my users. I have SRs there multiple options are available, but one or two of them are used much more than the other options.

Great idea!

I agree with this so long as we still have the option of fields where there is no default and customer MUST make a selection.  While we want to make things easier on the customer, we also don’t want to automatically ship a monitor to every new hire just because the manager left a field set to default - we want to be sure they deliberately selected to ship that piece of equipment.
