Allow users to check out and return loaner hardware by scanning a barcode

Currently the only way to change the status of a loaner item is for it to be done manually. If a user can simply scan the barcode or even and NFC Tag when checking out or returning an item, there is no need for a technician to be there to change the status of the item.
