In Analytics I love that I can set a schedule to email out a report that I’ve created - for both internal and external recipients.
What’s missing though are parameters to allow the body of the email to (1) harvest the date range from the report itself along with (2) the Department names -- or really any filter that has been applied to the report.
Here’s my process:
- I create a monthly report -
- set the filter as Date Range = Previous Month -
- set the schedule to run on the 1st day of each month
- type in all the email addresses manually (that’s another thing that needs improvement - why is this not a search through the Contacts?)
So the 1st of the month comes and the email goes out - but there’s nothing in the report or in the email to indicate the Date Range of the report.
