It would be nice if you can add asset state to be filterable from the All Assets and added as a column for viewing and export.

As Asset state is Asset type specific field you need to select a Hardware asset type to get the Column and the filter option. You need to click on More in the bottom of the filter list to get the field.
That is generic for all asset type fields, then they need to change the whole setup I guess.
The reason you like to have the field/column for All Asset ?
