I cant work with this. On the sheer fact that I as a business owner cannot quickly create tasks for anyone of my clients without having to track down the correct "requester" to pull up the correct company is absurd.

At least if you didn't limit all the Requester/Contact to just 20 accounts, you could have 1 master requester and then pull up all the companies.

Call the contact internal or whatever.

+1 on the ability to add a company as a ticket requester.

Alternatively, add the ability to add a predefined list of contacts as CCs to a ticket.

Alternatively, add the ability to notify all contacts at a company of updates to a ticket, either as a selectable behavior at the ticket level, a default behavior at the company level, or a global default behavior... could be extended by auto-adding all contacts set to be able to view all company tickets...

Any update on the feature will be greatly appreciated.

I confirmed with them that they do not intend on changing this nor can give us a better work around.

This was a crucial error for us so we are using TeamSupport.

Freshdesk do you have anything to say about this?

This is obviously something many of your customers are asking for, which should make you consider implementing this.. before customers leave you for other alternatives.

All we're asking for is the possibility to create and assign a ticket to a company.

Another case here the same - VERY fustrating.

It seems rediculous that an internal agent cannot raise a ticket and assign it to a customer - extremely limiting.

Same here - Extremely fustrating that as an agent I cannot raise a ticket and assign it to a company. BONKERS and very limiting.

Hello,

An user entity is considered to be the core component for ticketing in Freshdesk and at the moment, there are no plans to modify this behaviour and allow ticket creation against a company record.

One of our users,Nancynzagha, had suggested an approach wherein you can create one user profile and associate it to many companies in Freshdesk. This way, while creating a ticket, you can choose from the list of companies associated.

On the flip side, a contact can be associated to a maximum of 20 companies. Just wanted to understand if this limitation would prevent you from choosing this approach.

Cheers!

i would need to be able to assign the profile to *every* organisation (hundreds) because the email address that originates message is an external system that all clients can use - so no this is not a solution

@Darryl We've recently increased the limit of the companies that you can associate with a contact to 300. Do you think this can help setting up the common email address?

Cheers!

We would also need the possibility to configure dispatch'r rules, enabling us to assign tickets with a specific keyword in the subject, to a company.

We have contacts working for several companies. Freshdesk assigns the ticket to the first company this contact is linked to.

I tried to set up dispatch'r rules so that if the contact uses a specific keyword in the subject, the ticket can be linked to the correct company. Unfortunately, this function is not available...

You must understand that the several companies our contact works for are competitors... Therefore, it is very important that other users from company A who have rights to see all the tickets of their company, cannot see tickets from company B because certain contacts are linked to both companies and Freshdesk cannot assign the incoming tickets to the correct company.

This is a very privacy sensitive issue (GDPR) and therefore needs to be resolved soon

Aravind : no - we already have more than 300 clients so this is insufficient and anyway frankly a poor solution to a fairly basic problem

@Aravind we need this as well. We have consultants working on customer site, who log tickets and are agents as well. We need to be able to assign these tickets to the client, so they can get the notifcations as well and we can track who is responsible for which client. That would not be possible (or very easy) with a generic contact for all customer projects

Same issue here. If one of our admin agents creates a ticket after for instanca a call or an email with a customer, it can't be assigned to that company and remains in a limbo. I understand your logic is ticket->requester->company, but there should be a flow to assign tickets created by agents to a company.
