We would like to the possibility of adding in backup approvers into the workflow automator.
Ideally, when we set the action to send an approver email, we should have the option to add an SLA that needs to be met by the approver and if it is not met, it will send an approval email to a designated backup approver so that the workflow can continue to fire.
Without this, workflows break as backup approvers are manually added to be an approver. Otherwise, the workaround is long and includes SLAs, Supervisor Rules, and duplicating large approval workflows.
