Any thoughts on browser extensions. Whilst I have Freshdesk open in a browser somewhere on my desktop, it would be good to see some sort of push notification appear in the browser toolbar as I usually get busy and forget to check my tickets.

Freshdesk now has built-in smart notifications that helps agents to stay updated on tickets. Also has the ability to send Desktop notifications even if the agents aren't currently looking at Freshdesk tab. You can read more about this feature here.
