Business Rules for Employee Onboarding

I had to completely abandoned (or never deploy) the onboarding module in Fresh Service.  Its useless in a corporate environment. 

No HR department is even going to log into an IT portal to add a new employees.  They add and manage employees in their HRIS system, and new hire notices are sent to IT via email.  The Onboarding module was not designed to support the normal way businesses operate. 

We had to use use Scenarios and apply New Hire and Term templates, so we can at least automate the recurring tasks.     

Absolutely - We require that Onboarding requests be submitted ten business days in advance of start date and when we used to use bundled Service Items for this, I could have created a rule to require a check mark on a disclaimer message when they’d try to submit for a hire date less than ten days.  It seems that in moving forward on this function with Employee Onboarding, I lost that ability.
