@kengon  and ​@chad.haftorson and ​@alyssia.correa - This was posted over a year ago. I haven’t seen any FreshWorks engagement in over 4 months - It’s starting to feel lonely in here. Can you tell us anything about this request? Did it ever make the roadmap? Your customers are telling you this is an item that we want.

Sadly ​@mbutler Ally is no longer with Freshworks. ​@Kamakshi V can you help us get in touch with whoever is leading the Community effort and see where this item lands with the product teams. This feature would greatly improve the experience for IT Teams. And I have to agree, it is awfully quiet on the Freshworks front.

@Kamakshi V - it’s been two years since this idea was submitted. I think it will help out so many folks. Are there any updates on this one? I know you have been checking in, but I’d love to hear something.

Almost every other ITSM I worked with has this. We work with a lot of code too and it just makes me sad to see how poorly formatted it becomes when posted in a ticket, a response, and even Change Requests..

It also stops us from moving away from Confluence because of the complete lack of PowerShell code formatting in the Solutions section

People always mention the workarounds of posting files - but I shouldn’t have to do that. We should have a native way to handle the code blocks. This might seem like a small request, but it will have a large impact on many customers.

Squeaking along with the rest - we really need a code block option for our ticket replies. It has been added to Solutions, so curious to know why the same block cannot be added to Tickets for Replies and Notes?

One of my Agent Teams is asking for Monospaced font, and the Code Block would solve that issue.

@Kamakshi V  This came up from my architect today. They do not want to use the FS Knowledgebase because the inability to easily document code. 

Any update?

This has been open for 2 years now, and i’ve been squeaking along for the past year.. 

Seems like the team is more eager to jump on the AI bandwagon than to implement some rudimentary text editing enhancements. 

This is a ticketing system, it is inconceivable to me how code blocks still haven’t made it into every corner of this product…!

I’m sad to also admit that every bit of text input is subpar - no code blocks, no tables, no quotes, pasting is a nightmare (i need to “paste and match style” every single time). I wish my company had chosen a different product, spending my day on freshservice is - honestly - the worst part of my job.  

So please FreshTeam, fix your editorS 🙏🏼

Hello folks,

I wanted to assure you that Code Blocks continue to be an active topic of discussion, and I’m keeping this thread visible internally. I’ve also been bringing this up with the team, so it’s definitely on the radar. I request some more time gather a concrete update. 

I have been actively encouraged that some of our ideas have been implemented over the past several months. However, this one continues to be huge. It has the most votes of any idea I have ever posted and this was not the first time this “idea” was posted - it’s been posted time and time again over the years. Your customers need this. I need this.

All I want for Christmas are code blocks!
