We need the ability to create tasks independent of tickets in FS. I would like to track all of my work in FS, including tasks that do not require a ticket or project.

Agreed - this would be a huge improvement. We ask team member to track their work. Which happens for anything that comes in as a ticket. The ad hoc requests are more commonly handled directly and time spent on them is unlikely to be recorded.
We’e pressed REL ticket types into service as place-holders for tasks that have no other ticket to exist on. This is good in that time reporting can be pulled alongside ticket time. A challenge: the team often forgest to monitor their assigned REL tickets and tasks though. And not all work makes it to a REL, INC or SR ticket. Agents end up juggling task lists in mulitple systems to keep on top of work.
