Custom Field - Email Address

There are many use cases where in the employee onboarding or in various service items, organizations partner with consultants, contractors, etc. It would be great if there was a custom field type for Email Address that validates if the input is in a valid email format. Use case here would be to utilize Workflow Automator to email the email address entered with information (onboarding, access requests, etc.) when an internal employee is placing the request for a third party partner.
