Hi

There is already a way to create custom object records using an existing CSV file. What would be helpful if there was a way to export your current custom object records into an excel/csv file for custom analytics or just storage!

Hi Shairyl,

I agree! I jumped online this morning hoping to perform a quick export to compare a previous list to the current one, and then I realized the export wasn’t possible. I would also use the export for custom analytics and storage as well.

Hi Shairyl,

I highly agree, this function should be considered as mandatory. If you can import to a .csv, it should be the obvious counterpart to be able to export to .csv also. I hope that freshdesk can get this feature created in the near future, as it makes the custom objects function very limited. I often need to share data to external parties, and would not be able to do this if that data is inside the custom objects feature.

Jumping onto this to say YES - I don’t see many use cases for updating records in Freshdesk if you can’t take those updates anywhere.

@shairyl Have you tried the ‘Data Exports’ feature in Analytics to see if that works for you to export custom objects associated with a specific Freshdesk module?
