Darkmode is ready for most of Freshservice but we are working on the dependant modules like Analytics, Freshchat and Freshcaller. The delay is due to this being implemented to all of these modules and it will be incomplete to go live without this action. We’ll soon get back with the estimated go-live dates as soon as we have the clarity.

I think this would be an important feature to add since so many people are using Dark Mode in as many apps/websites that they can! Put me in for testing!

Hi Community,

 

Thank you for your continuous suggestions and interest on the Dark mode feature. While we have not shared an update on this thread earlier, we are closely monitoring the updates of the request and we’ve had detailed conversations with the product team.

 

Considering the scale at which we operate (14K customers spread across the globe) we do maintain a backlog of feature requests and we prioritize all our client requests based on the below two factors:

1.    Demand for a particular feature request across all channels

2.    Business Impact the feature will have for our existing clientele

 

While we understand that the Dark Mode feature has been a popular requested feature by our customers for us to build, we would not be able to take this up for the time being considering that there are other items which have been stack ranked and prioritized over and above this request based on the factors mentioned above.

 

Rest assured, we would be picking this up as we continue to ship the features that are being requested by our customers.

 

Also, we would love to share what we have in store as part of the roadmap as it is our responsibility to give visibility on what we are building for our clientele when we are saying that we will not be able to take up certain feature requests at this point in time.

Based on that response and this has been an issue for what, three years? I don’t see it happening until people vote with their wallets.

I’ve raised it with our FS Account manager as well, not sure why it’s been de-priotised when it’s been requested for over 4 years and been number one the whole time it’s been up.

Given the interest in this feature. It is almost a slap in the face when you keep updating the system with visual themes, but fail to release a dark mode feature which people actually care about.

I’ve been following this thread for a while, but decided to make an account just to upvote.  A few months back, I mentioned to my colleagues that this was being worked on and they were ecstatic!  While I understand that everyone’s resources are finite, this would be a huge relief to the “boots on the ground” and is now seen as a standard feature.

Thanks to my boss’s good sense and advice,

I set my external monitor’s brightness to around 10% with the buttons on the monitor.

Then set the windows (laptop) monitor brightness (image below).

This has helped a lot but we still need dark mode; headaches are better but not gone.

WE NEED DARK MODE!

I found the perfect system and I have to give up on it because of eye strain and UI issues with the workarounds.

Hey all!

I have had a bit of a mini breakthrough with this.

At our workplace Google Chrome is the preferred browser and by typing in

chrome://flags/ in to the URL bar you are greeted with the following:

Scroll down the list till you find the top option ‘Auto-Dark Mode for Web Contents’ and enable, this will automatically turn any website to dark mode as best as it can.

 

My FreshDesk and all other FreshWorks product now are displaying pretty well in Dark Mode.


Of course native functionality for Dark Mode may be preferable but this is definitely helping, so I hope it may help some of you!
