Freshservice’s Discovery features currently retrieves a lot of information from devices. However, it does not extract the HP Product ID (SystemSKU) stored in the Windows Registry at `HKLM\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\BIOS\SystemSKU`.

The Discovery features already uses WMI and registry queries for other asset details (e.g., OS version, serial numbers) . Extending this to include `SystemSKU` would align with existing workflows and require minimal overhead.

Accurate Product IDs enable faster HP warranty checks..
