I’m pretty surprised this doesn’t exist already.
We often refer to other tickets within private notes of a ticket.
These aren’t tickets that should be merged (the merge functionality doesn’t work that well anyway) and they don’t really fall into what the “Linked Tickets” functionality was designed for.
It would be nice to easily be able to hyperlink the other tickets within the private note. At the moment, it is a tedious process, of copying the link and then using the “Insert Link” button and popup to do it. Because it is tedious, we basically don’t do it, we end up just typing the ticket number and not linking it.
There should be a super easy way to do this. A suggestion from 7 years ago was for Freshdesk to automatically link to a ticket when it was typed in a particular format. E.g. [#246]
I think this could work great.
The suggestion on the old community site has 10 others that liked the idea. I’m sure many more would be keen for this and I doubt it would take much to implement.
