I love Fresh desk because of all its great features. I have created an account and decided to use its premium version to give support our wordpress themes in Themeforest.net


after setting up, I tried to create an external authentication which hosted in our server. but it didnt work well. we did this to authenticate only users that have purchased our theme and the method was via envato purchase code API.


Since we couldnt succeed to make it working well, we decided to choose ticksy.com which is very simple but integrated with envato.

after few days of using we found it has alot of important bugs and issues. so we dont see any other choice to just request you if you could give such feature for envato authors to connect to envato API so we can return back to freshdesk. currently there are alot of envato elite authors like us are looking for a better solution and some of them are using ticksy which is cheap but really sucks (I mean ticksy is not comparable with freshdesk, its just an small forum). if you give this feature you I bet, you will get alot of customers from envato marketplaces. I can even advertise you in our items for free if you do this favor for us. there are hot competition in envato marketplaces among elite authors and if they see someone is using a better solution (I mean freshdesk) they will upgrade without any objection.


I know you will ask me to use external authentication, but even it works correctly I cant host it in a shared host which all the user data is there. I mean maintaining this is difficult and we as author do not have time to handle these kind of works.

Thank you for writing to us here and I am really sorry about not being able to get back with this reply much earlier. 


I can totally understand your concern and I have passed this feature request to our Product Management team. They are positive about taking this up but I cannot promise an ETA right now. 


And thinking about a lot of prospective customers in Envato Marketplaces, this sounds very exciting for us as well :) We will sure do what we can do best for you guys.

Thanks for letting me about your plans. in fact there are some discussions going on among envato authors, If this features get into considerations alot of people will start migrating to freshdesk including me.

Hi there,


The only reason we have not moved over to Freshdesk is no Envato support, we are currently with another provider for our support system and that has the Envato API connected but it lacks the features you have to offer here.


It has been over a month and still no news.


Please consider having this feature ASAP and you will gain us and im sure many more customers.

What's happening guys? Did this idea die or is there another thread where it took over? Do you guys realize how HUGE the envato community is?

Any updates on this? I'm considering Freshdesk for my ticketing support. I'll switch in a heartbeat if Freshdesk support Envato API.

Hi Guys,


We are also looking to integrate our support system with freshdesk, with 4 million active websites using our products that are sold on the envato marketplace we require an option to support envato marketplace's API - Please can this be reviewed as there will be countless customers ready to use your software (not to mention a large contract with us)
