Export all solutions (knowledge base)?

Hello,

Is it possible to export all solutions in one go (not printing one by one)? We could then back up the data or send all the texts to an external provider for editing or adding new articles.

Thanks!

Hey guys - this is a must have.  More so, we need a way to export not only the articles themselves, but a way to export the HTML code of the article itself so that we have a back up in case we do something crazy like delete a page, or something.

Thanks!

We also need this.

Yes, the only way I would be willing to use this feature (or freshdesk at all) is if I could later export all of my data.

The current "export" option is lacking in many ways, however, specific to this request, the ability to export solution articles/content is a must have. There should be selectable options to export ticket data, solution content/data, with filters for tags, categories, creation date, created by, etc.

This is a must have for us as well. We need to be able to have full HTML backup of the whole "Solutions" section including categories. This includes Private and draft articles.

This is a must have for us too.  Does anyone from FD even read these posts?

We need this as well. This is really important as one may want to export all his documents and review them and then make changes and import them. A must which exists with other KB solutions already.

Would definitely need this!

You could backup your entire account and you will receive your solutions as an xml file as a part of a zip file package. By navigating to Admin--->Account---->Export data,  you would receive a zip file which on unzipping will yield you 6 xml files. One of the 6 files will be "Solutions.xml".

You could then access your solution articles from that xml file.

Not all Admin accounts have access to this. So, try with the first Admin user that was created and did the sign up.

Anyone successfully worked with an export of Freshdesk solution (knowledge base) articles and imported them into another knowledge base system? Would be comforting to hear from someone with experience in this area.

Hellooo, anyone home at Freshdesk? How do we IMPORT solutions articles that we exported? Do exports include screenshots?

Hi there, we would also find such a feature extremely useful. We need to be able to import/export our knowledge base, otherwise we won't be able to handle it in the long run and won't use it for this reason. Please find a way to incorporate this into one of the next releases.

Freshdesk, can you import an exported Freshdesk knowledge base?

Hi,

As @Tarek mentioned earlier on this thread, you can export your solution articles along with the account data as a .xml file.

@Mr.Smith: We can facilitate migration of solution articles from one Freshdesk account to another. Please reach out to support(at)freshdesk(dot)com for more details.

Cheers!

Hello here, the current product lack real backup solution and it's frightening to see that you can loose an article it an html edit goes wrong and mess up html containers. The inability to go back in time to previous versions and the fact that you can't really export solutions as backups in case anything goes wrong is a deal-breaker. Will you finally add a feature to at least export html files containing content that would be easy to put back online if needed? The XML option is far from useful.

Thanks,
