The new auto-number field is a welcome addition. Our organization has a need to track deals, quotes and documents using a unique id. It would be a welcome addition to have the same field type added to Deals and it seems custom modules as well.

That’s a very valid suggestion. I’ve reached out to our internal product teams to understand if such a feature can be taken up, or is already being worked upon.
