We have FreshFone forwarding to our mobiles and so we get a mix of personal and business calls.  It would be great if it somehow showed a call as coming from FreshDesk/FreshFone so we can filter or answer the call differently "Thank you for Calling Fusion how can I help?"  vs. "Sup Daddio!"

Example Caler ID

Incoming caller
FreshFone - xxx.xxx.xxxx

or

FF - xxx.xxx.xxxx

This should be taken one step further. Even when logged into FreshDesk it should tell us What number the caller is calling on as well as what extension or group. Often the caller ID of the caller is much irrelevant and the number that they have called is the one that's important. Example: Caller is calling 55555555 Extension: 2 That way we'll know they're calling for Brand X Extension Support

@Jason-"Sup Daddio"- That cracked me up a bit. But on a related note, interesting problem, will try and think of a solution and get back to you on that one.

@Matt- We are working on this one right now. Don't have an ETA to give to you but should be out soon

Any update on this? We'd hate to develop our own twilio pbx while freshdesk is such an amazing tool for a-z of our entire customer support staff. This should be a very simple thing. We spend several thousands of dollars every month in phone minutes that will come to FreshFone if we can just take care of this one little simple feature.

We are handling this in the freshfone in two ways.

1. Within the browser client we will show which phone number and Group is being called

2. If the call is forwarded to a mobile, we will show the support number that the customer called instead of showing the customers number.

We don't have an ETA at the moment. We are working on point no 1 right now. Will finish that and move to point no 2.

We released Freshfone inside the Freshdesk mobile app a couple of months back. Now the agents can receive calls on their phone through the mobile app instead of forwarding the calls to their mobile phone. Not only is the former option cheaper but it also allows you to differentiate between personal and Freshdesk calls.
