How to develop for a external app

I would like to develop a external app, however it seems to develop such an app the app needs to be approved first however to be approved I need examples on how the app integrates with freshworks suite. I am confused on the process as I have already tried submiting a external app but was promptly denied as the email told me what the application was missing however it is impossible to satisfy those requirements if I am unable to develop the connection between my app and freshworks.
