Hi, it would be great if you could make an extension, similar to the Twitter one, for Instagram.
Instagram is our biggest social media focus, and being able to have tickets come in/watch competitors would be of great benefit for us.

Instagram integration
Thanks for the suggestion, Mark! It would great to have Instagram integrated in Freshdesk. Right now, we are working on some other features, but I'm going to leave this topic open so we can see the interest in this.
Meanwhile, it would be great if you can elaborate your support use case for Instagram. Do your customers bring up issues in Instagram? What sort of responses do they expect from you? This will help us in our approach to the integration.

Thanks, we engage with a lot of our customers on Instagram and as such we are tagged in images etc. If we could be notified of this (and a ticket created) we could then respond when the item pictured is damaged etc. Yes our customers do bring up issues on Instagram, and they would expect us to comment on the image or message them directly.
It would also be great if a stream like functionality could be added so we could see Instagram posts with specific tags/comments so we could target potential leads etc.

Instagram is bigger than Facebook right now. There are more people using Instagram and there is a decline in Facebook members.
A lot of companies have been successful selling their products on Instagram, especially to the Women and Millennials demographics.
We use a lot of posting on Instagram and it would be great if FreshDesk could implement some integration.
Especially when Customers interact with our Instagram post, they ask for pricing, product color, sizing, how to search using keywords on our website, etc.
According to statistics and analytic tools, Instagram and Pinterest drove the most traffic for sales.

Is this going to happen soon? Here in our country, twitter is kind of dead and full of keyboard warriors and mostly we support Facebook and Instagram. Hope this happens soon before we decide to shift to another provider. Thanks!

Any news from Freshdesk team about this? I saw the earlier post of reamaze and checked their webpage, I loved how they value top social platforms like instagram and integrated it in their tool. Hoping freshdesk will come up with a plan soon.
Have you guys looked at Re:amaze? They've supported multi-channel support for emails, facebook, messenger, twitter, AND instagram! Pretty awesome platform if you ask me. I still use Freshdesk but there are things that Re:amaze does much better. Might consider a switch. See https://www.reamaze.com.
