Your pricing for SSL for a year $180 is unreasonable. Especially when so many low cost / no cost options are available.
1) Integrating Letsencrypt would enable custom URLs to be secured with SSL immediately and for free.
2) If a customer needs a better certificate, let them purchase and manage it themselves. Having to wait 5-7 business days to get a shared DigiCert isn't cool.
Yes, I would totally agree with this.
This price is completely unreasonable and frankly, you guys should be ashamed. At a time when there is so much need for security you take advantage of this predicament and whack an outrageous fee for an ssl cert. I've only recently moved from your competitor where they issue their ssl certs through Let's Encrypt. Now there are seeds of doubt being planted where I wonder if making the move may not of have been such a wise decision.
I'd like to see support for Let's Encrypt added, and the ability to upload your own certificate if appropriate. It seems a little counterproductive that we can create a vanity helpdesk URL, but not secure it easily.
Worth noting that Zendesk already offer this functionality.
We have a wildcard SSL certificate already for our primary domain. It covers the subdomain we use for our support desk, how do we install/upload this to our portal?
Other suppliers already offer this feature and fundamentally - it's a deal breaker - if you won't allow us to secure our helpdesk.
Yes totally agree with this request. Charging $180 for a SSL cert is not appropriate. It's pretty extraordinary that Freshdesk still use Digicert, when Let's Encrypt issues HTTPS certificates for free, and SSLMate only charges $US16/year. Also both of these are instant, not "7to 8 business days"

We hear you! There are plans around changing the way how we host SSL certificates and we're looking at different options to make it easier to setup a SSL certificate for the custom domain. I'll update this post when I have something to share with the community.
