Integrating eBay with freshdesk

After a lot of research, i am still not able to connect freshdesk with eBay, which really time inefficient for us. We would love to integrate eBay, freshdesk and hopefully Magento into one powerful platform. 

For now, eBay is blocking my emails from bouncing freshdesk mailaccounts. Is there anyone who could help me out this?

It is same with me. Fail to reply customer email from Ebay. We also can not use Iframe on product detail because Ebay lock it.

Guys, was any progress made on this at all? eBay simply doesn't like messages from Freshdesk, which makes Freshdesk irrelevant for us. Amazon is working fine.

I think zendesk doesn't have the same problem, although ebay use case isn't perfect there either but it's mostly to do with how eBay handles messages.

did someone fix this problem , really its make me angry, DESK , ZENDESK , all dont have this problem ......


is really no chance to fix it ?

This is a very high priority feature!!!


I cant believe it, that freshdesk cannot handle this!


Realy..i dont understand. i hope, you will get it to work in a few days..otherwise i have to (even if i dont want to) get Zendesk for our company :-(

After looking at ebay's integration capabilities and main concerns raised in the forums, we have narrowed down our first phase of eBay- Freshdesk Integration to the following:

1) solving the bounce issue - agents can reply to buyer's ebay messages directly from Freshdesk.

2) displaying details related to the Item like item name, category, payment details in the ticket

3) bringing in a new source (ecommmerce) to 

    a) identify the origin of the ticket. 

    b) set up automation and assignment rules

    c) generate better reports, etc.


Development has picked up pace. I'll share the release date  with all of you shortly.

We would love to incorporate your suggestions in the follow up versions as well. 

Please feel free to post your thoughts and ideas in this thread.

Someone want to use Ebay with Freshdesk? I think the short solution is use your private Server for IMAP and SMTP. After that, change email address which you use on Ebay to that email server and use with Freshdesk. It will work. I am working on Freshdesk with EBAY & my private email server.

Email address on Google Apps: xxx@xxx.com


  • Setup Ebay notify & communicate with customer is: xxx@xxx.com
  • Setup Freshdesk IMAP and SMTP is Google Apps email. Please don't use Freshdesk SMTP.


You will be get customer PM and answer via email because you send from your domain xxx.com and send by Google Apps.


PS: Freshdesk team will be add me some credit to help your matter? :D

OK thanks, that's available on FOREST plan only, that's 70 USD/month or 840 USD/pa. In my case, more than i'd like to pay for basic functionality.

I opened this forum 9 months ago. First of all, everyone loves Freshdesk here. I definitely don't want to leave Freshdesk! After opening i received a lot of respons from other eBay and Freshdesk users with the same problems.


I also got many promising words from the Freshdesk staff.. 


For the Freshdesk-team: please do not promise any quick solutions for this solutions if not possible. This will make me able to search for my own solution in stead of waiting almost a year without solution! We are all professional enough to understand to anticipate this kinds of problems in a different way, but i always waited because the ETA would be soon.

Any updates on the timeline for Ebay integration, our main difficulty is ebay messages do not trigger an email notification and therefore we cannot get ebay messages through freshdesk. Please let me know if anyone has any input on this issue. Thanks.

Freshdesk's eBay integration is under development. We are facing certain issues in message threading inside Freshdesk tickets since eBay API do not provide a parent message id. We are working with eBay support for a work around. I do not have a definite timeline as of now but can share that we are in development for this one till it gets completed.

I desperately need this integration as well as an Amazon Seller Central integration or I'm going to have to go with an expensive Zendesk solution.
