GitHub we use 'issues' to track changes in the systems, as requested by customers through the open tickets. It would be interesting if there was an integration of the 'issues' at GitHub and the FreshDesk Tickets.

My ideal integration would be a way for a agent to attach notes from a ticket into a github issue.... or create a new issue altogether.

Products like CloudWorks can do this... but I imagine it on EVERY ticket or every issue.  Agent needs to have some choice in the matter.

Currently we have to open a ticket and in case of necessity of changes at the system code, open an Issue. Then we have to copy the URL of the ticket, put in the description of Issue and the URL of Issue in a note to the Ticket, to remember answer our customers that the changes were made.

And I agree with Blake the integration cannot be blindly automatic.  A simple way to manually create, or reference an issue in a Github repository from a Freshdesk ticket would be a great start.

Hello,

The Github integration is currently not on our road map. A couple of other features and integrations are higher up the priority list.

Thank you posting on our forums. Have a great day!

I totally understand.  Even as someone who would like to see this happen... there are much bigger core issues I'd like to see you all focusing on at this point.

Thanks Blake, you are awesome :)

One other note... I found that Github has a stance on roles which I cannot comprehend... Even if you are a paying Github customer with private repo's and an Organization. There is no "Issue Only" Role in Github.  So, unless you're willing to give your support staff complete read access to your repo... which means they can simply click download ZIP button and have all your source code (or obviously clone the repo, but that requires some skill at least)... I then asked... well is there any auditing in place to see if someone downloads a file or clones... to which the answer was also no.

I was really disappointed to find this out...

Now a jab at you freshdesk... Make your forums as easy to author in as Github and life would be good for everyone and maybe we'd use freshdesk for bug tracking...

Markdown + Ability to paste images that get automatically attached... it's bliss.  That's the #1 I like Github Issues.

Rachel,

We will look in to this shortly and add this to our priority list..

Hi All

As we do not support native integration with Github yet, We suggest you to use  Zapier for achieving this. We integrate with Zapier for so many third party applications.

Is there any ETA when this will work with the new mint? GitHub integration is crucial for our purposes...

I just signed up to use Freshdesk, thinking that this GitHub support was available, and now I find out that it isn't; very frustrating. I'll be inviting beta testers for my product soon, and I need to be able to integrate support tickets with GitHub issues for bugs and feature requests. When will this be fixed?

@Mark We've been making the popular apps to be compatible with the new MINT interface over the last few months. I'll confirm on the timelines for this one. Please bear with me!

Cheers!

We're currently deciding whether to use ZenDesk or FreshDesk and the GitHub integration is critical for us. I'm also interested in learning when it will be available in Mint.

Hello,

It has been few months since my last update but things haven't progressed the way as we would like :( That being said, Github integration is definitely on our radar. Unfortunately, I'm unable to commit a date as it is currently blocked by another dependancy.

I'll keep you posted on any updates regarding the integration. Keep supporting us!

Cheers!
