I am somewhat newer to FreshService and the inventory management is relatively okay, but not perfect. Having come from the MSP world and using those tools, it was common for us to document/inventory DNS settings, specifically targeting email records with DNS renewals. Another common problem these days are client secret expirations in things like Azure. These tools also let you embed passwords and 2FA codes.

I don’t miss the MSP world, but I do miss being able to document everything in the same system. Is it possible to add these options to Asset Management?

Hi @Steve Stryhalaleck

I’m afraid right now, We do not have a functionality to have these stored in the Inventory, but perhaps, You can store the data you wish to in the Custom Objects.

If you’re in Pro or Enterprise plan of Freshservice, It would allow you to store a table-type data in Custom objects which you can use in the Workflow Automators.

Article for help: https://support.freshservice.com/en/support/solutions/articles/50000003117-creating-custom-objects

This way you can keep track of the Client secrets or creds and update them whenever necessary.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out in case of queries!
