When opening any freshdesk link in a email or message on iOS devices. This should invoke the link to open in the Freshdesk iOS app. Instead clicking on a link opens a web browser. This is a basic function that many apps have and I don't understand why this is missing.

iOS App needs http linking to app
This is typically referred to as "deep linking" because it both launches the native app and loads the relevant content within the native app.
It looks like this inconvenience is still here, more than a year later. Is it hiding there somewhere? Or will it be done soon? I admit it's only a convenience issue. But then, the whole Freshdesk thing is a convenience product. :)
Product Update:
Deep links are supported for both Freshdesk iOS and Android apps for all *.freshdesk.com URLs (Please note that deep link doesn't work if the link is opened from Google Hangouts). Also, it doesn't work for CNAMEs (where the Support portal is on your own domain).

Great! Then I need help getting it to work. I'm clicking links in Google Chrome on an iPad pro running the current version of the OS. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Freshdesk, but the links still open a new webpage in Chrome rather than going to the Freshdesk app. Links to other apps, not Freshdesk, work as expected.
