JIRA comments on FD

Hi,

I was reading up on the comments made to "JIRA Integration - Create FD ticket from JIRA", and was interested in finding out, inline with my "Topic title", to sync from JIRA to FD, will I need to take this up with JIRA, or at this point, has there been any developments that you know of regarding having comments made to a JIRA issue pushed to a FD ticket?

What I'm basically asking is, if I create a JIRA issue from FD, then later comment on the issue on JIRA, is there a way that these comments can be sent to my FD ticket?

Regards,

Reba

I think it's supposed to do it, but I've been having problems with the integration. The administration option on the integration is Jira update goes to Freshdesk as well. I'm testing it now, but can't seem to make it work.

Rebaone & Philippe,

Sorry for the inconsistency faced here.

We're currently facing an issue with the integration where the comments are not synced properly.

A fix is being rolled out in a week to get this sorted out.

Please bear with us until then.

Hi Anna, any news on the fix of this problem? We are having some workflow problems because of this. Would be awesome if this would be fixed.

Joost,

Do you think it would be possible for you to write to us at support(at)freshdesk(dot)com detailing on the issue you're facing so that we can take a better look into this?

 Hi Anna

is there any update on this topic?

I seem to face the same issue: Comments in Jira are not pushed back into the Freshdesk Ticket.

According to the setting in Freshdesk Jira should add a private note in Freshdesk when entering a comment in Jira.

Regards.

I can tell you it works for us now.  Check your Webhooks settings in JIRA -- if they're not there, you should be able to test by manually adding something (doesn't really matter what). If t hat doesn't work and you're on JIRA cloud, you need to request Atlassian to fix the webhooks. Once that's done, you can either ask FD to manually create the webhook for you (takes a bit of time) or kill the integration and then redo it.  If you select the latter, a warning is that ALL TICKETS that you had linked will need to be relinked so this is only a viable option if you're just getting started with the integration.

Dear Philippe

thank you for your comment.

I found the issue: The Jira user which is used to link Jira to Freshdesk did not have admin rights in Jira.

@Siyam, Can you please check if the user credentials that you use to integrate with Freshdesk is an admin in JIRA?

Cheers!
