Same here.. Any news about the ETA? Which plans will be able to access the chat function and will it influence the plan costs?

@Dirki think that there isn't a commercial plan yet :-\

Hello everyone!

The FreshChat feature is in its final stages and we're expecting to push it live in another 2-3 weeks max. As of now, it is planned to be included in our Garden and Estate plans.

You will be able to have the chat embeded on your website or your support portal.

Please watch out this space for more updates.

Thanks,

Anna

This is a critical feature for us too, must be close to ready now?

Any status update on the freshchat feature?

I just signed up and made an assumption there was Live Chat since all the major competitors have this.

Whats the time line of release?

Hi Annapoorna

You said this was going to be live in "2-3 weeks" over 2 months ago!!
Any update? this is a really needed feature and all the competitors have this

This delay is making us question our use of the paid version of freshdesk :-(

agreed, it makes sense to get some kind of update at this point.

Today @freshdesksaid: @judis217 it was released in private beta last Saturday. A few customers are testing it. Will you be interested in beta testing?

Very much looking forward to checking this out. This will be the tipping point for me to stay with FD after the trial!!

I see that FreshChat has already been implemented on Freshdesk's main website and the support team is using it.

I see the chat app is pretty much in an infant stage. The app's performance is worst and the functionality... buggy.

If they pull this together it will make for a very comprehensive package . Im hoping this is included in the existing packages. This is for me is the only feature lacking.

We want this, can you send me beta test?

Endless promises, countless delays , its now 2-3 months passed the said date ... and still NOTHING, no updates no clear responses to emails, its all just a bit vauge. Thank you fresh desk for nothing.

Badly managed expectations...

I've been testing the beta of chat and its coming along nicely.  There are a few tweaks that it will need for our use, but overall I've been happy with its progress.  Like any big functional add-on to a product the scope of fresh desk, there are always unforeseen challenges and obstacles that cause delays.  I for one, would rather have a refined and polished product that has delays than a half-baked one.  I agree though, the more transparency and communication (even disappointing communication) is better than nothing though.

Thanks for that feedback, looking forward for the rollout!

nice!
