Please consider developing an integration with LiveZilla as Freshdesk's chat is lacking many features essential for support team's workflow.

Freshdesk chat is very basic and is suitable for small teams only.

Features that are missing:

- Auto-assignment of chats to the agents (like round robin with tickets and calls). Now they need to be picked up manually which agents does not always want to do.

- Max chats limit per group and per individual agent. For instance, 1 agent can maximum handle 3 chats, others will either go to other agents or will be held in queue with relevant message shown.

- All chats are auto-closed in 2 minutes of no response and you can't control this setting

- It is not possible to create a chat for a group, only for a product. So we have to create fake products e.g. "Sales" and "Support"

- Due to the above, you can't add an agent to 2 chat groups (like you can do with tickets). LiveZilla allows this and an agent can be online in Support group and Away (not accepting chats) in Sales group or online in both groups then he/she needs to help another department with chats.

I can provide more if you decide you either develop an integration with LiveZilla or improve your chat product.

Hello,

Freshdesk is now integrated with Freshchat, a modern messaging experience that is more powerful than the traditional live chat. Few of the marquee features include message channels, chat bot, Intelliassign and in-product FAQs. You can read more about the features here.

Cheers!
