Loaner equipment planning in CMDB

Right now we are using the CMDB to manage assets loaned out to our users, and it works great, my only wish right now for this is the ability to book an asset (loaner laptop) out into the future. I have created some custom fields for "scheduled pick up" and "scheduled return" but this doesn't allow for a request that is happening say, 3 weeks from now. It would be great to have linear view for assets in a pool. Think Gannt Chart-ish. I think this would be a great selling point for Fresh Service as it is something that has been missing from every place I've ever worked as an integrated solution. It's always the orphan.
