With the release of Magento 2 now out for some time, we think it would be very important for Freshdesk to rework a plugin for Magento 2.


The below features would be great:

- Single Sign On

- Fully integrated Solutions and Forums (Basically having these display within the sites magento template offering customers a uniform experience.)

- Fully integrated tickets within the customer's dashboard/account and website backend.

- Fully integrated App for displaying order & customer details within freshdesk.


Most these features exist in the Magento 1 integration, however, Freshdesk should stay ahead of it's competition and do this well before Desk and Zendesk do.

The faster way to integrate Magento2 and freshdesk is by using the SAML2 standard.
The advantage of using SAML instead another tricky SSO mechanism is that this is standard and let you SSO between apps that are hosted in different domains. Also there are a lot of apps that already support SAML so adding those apps to your SSO federations is gonna be quite simple.

Is there any news on the magento 2 integration? we are moving to magento 2 very soon, and would love to have a good integration!

Magento 2 app is now available in our marketplace site. This allows you to view customer's profile on Magento and also access order details right from the Freshdesk ticket page. The integration works with both the Cloud and Community edition.
