Make email template functionality consistent

I'd like to be able to control the consistency of emails sent by the help desk so that our customers see a consistent image from us. After all they see a body of correspondence in one screen and variations in style are very obvious.

Email templates appear in various forms:

- Agent Notifications

- Requestor notifications

- Reply templates

- Dispatch'r rules

- Supervisor rules

- Observer rules

Some of these allow you to specify the content of the subject line but others do not.

Some of these allow you to format the text in the body of the message but others do not.

And Forwarded messages do not appear to have the ability to template any of these, subject line or body.

Hi FD,

I was very happy to see that you added the CC Notifications area under Email Notifications as it allowed me to configure the 'Note added to ticket' email to be product-specific.

However, I have now come across a further notification - 'New Activity' - that is not product-specific and is not configurable.

I support Nigel's feature request as it asks for 'consistency'.

Thanks,

geirmund

I would like this functionality as well.

Same here,

If nothing else, we'd like all notifictions pertaining a certain ticket to have the same thread in order so that they stay in the same thread in email clients such as gmail

Hello,

In general, the subject line of every ticket reply would be set based on the Agent reply template configuration. We'd suggest preserving the same template across all requester notifications so that the design looks consistent enough.

Cheers!
